The Forest City Treeats Map is useful for pointing out accessible fruit in London. A good way to use it is to figure out which fruit is ripe and then head for the map, highlight the trees you believe to be ready to pick and planning your foraging trip.

The pears, walnuts and some apples carry through into the late fall.
To edit the map and use its features, you will need to sign up. Then on the homepage click on the EDIT MAP button.
On the Tool Bar, Click on the 3rd icon - looks like a Push pin or a champagne glass. The menu will drop down and if you click on TREE SPECIES, a list of trees and bushes will drop down. Click on the one(s) you are looking for and only they will show up on the map.
Remember this map gets better as more people add their finds to the map.
How to Add to the FC Tree Map
Click on the Edit FC MAP button.
2. Find the location of the tree you want to add. There's a bar top left to fill in.
3. Once you have found the place where you saw the tree, click on the EDIT button on top right. (A lightbulb and a pencil)
4. A drop down menu with icons for the various trees will pop down. There's an icon labelled "OTHER" which you can use for something you find interesting that does not have an icon.
5. Click on the icon, click on the place on the map where you want it to go. Click close.
If you use "Other", fill in the box "Additional Info".
You can fill any of the other fields in too.
6. Your tree is entered.
7. To see any other items, click on their icon to see what is listed.
